  to find your size???

Still don't know how to choose a suitable shoes size?

Tired of the guessing game of desginers?

Here are some tips and suggestions that may be helpful.

European Shoe Sizing will be numbered in the 30's and 40's. Examples: 37, 38, 40, 41.

The general conversion to US sizing would be to remove the first number for the shoes sized in the 30's and to replace the 4 with a 1 for the shoes sized in the 40's. Examples: 37 = US 7;  41 = US 11

This is not always true and for many European sized shoes the conversion loses a half size converting to US sizing. Example: 37 =  US 6.5; 40 =  US 9.5

Generally UK sizing is two sizes smaller than US sizing, but can sometimes be 2 1/2 sizes smaller. Examples: US 6 = UK 4 or US 6 = UK 3.5

Generally Australian sizing is 1 1/2 sizes smaller than US sizing, but can sometimes be 2 sizes smaller.  Examples: US 8 = AU 6.5 or US 8 = AU 6

The size mostly depends on the material. For example, suede shoes are usually larger because they can be stretched. Leather shoes tend to run true to size. And patent leather are usually smaller.

The style also matters a lot: for example, pointy toe shoes are usually smaller.

Here are some sizing tips for many designer shoes. These are very general tips and based on our personal experience:

Alaia: Tends to run true to size.

Armani: Run large.Needs to up 1/2 or more.

Alexander McQueen: McQueen's with a pointy front tend to run small. Most times it would be recommended to purchase one half size larger than your usual US sizing. The open toe or wider front tend to run true to size.

Bruno Frisoni: Tends to run true to size.

Celine: Tends to run true to size.

Chanel : Tends to run true to size, sometimes needs up half the size.

Chloe: Tends to run true to size.

Christian Dior : pumps are true to size, but sandals must be half the size bigger.

Christian Lacroix: Lacroix's tend to run narrow in most styles and have very irregular sizing from shoe to shoe. Lacroix's can run from very small (up to a size and a half small, to true to size). Most times it would be recommended to purchase one half size larger than your usual US size, but because their sizing is so erratic, it would be best to ask the seller about the particular shoe you are interested in.

D & G:  D&G's run a half size small from EUR sizing to US sizing. Example: a 39 would be a US 8.5

Dolce & Gabbana: Tends to run true to size.

Donna Karan Collection: Tends to run true to size.

Emilio Pucci: Pucci's run small. Most times it would be recommended to purchase one half size larger than your usual US size.

Fendi : True to size mostly. But sometimes you need half size up.

Ferragamo : Particularly patent leather styles, tend to run a half size or size smaller than American shoes.

Fiorentini & Baker: The biker style boots tend to run a half size to a full size large. The wedge or more conventional styles tend to run true, but Fiorentini has very inconsistent sizing. It would be best to ask the seller about the particular shoe you are interested in.

Gianfranco Ferre: Tends to run true to size.

Guiseppe Zanotti: Tends to run true to size, but can run small depending on the style.

Jean Paul Gaultier: Gaultier's run very small. Most times it would be recommended to purchase a full size larger than your usual US size.

Jil Sander: Tends to run true to size.

Jimmy Choo: Choo's tend to run small/narrow. Most times it would be recommended to purchase a half size larger than your usual US size.

John Galliano: Tends to run true to size.

Prada: Tends to run true to size.

Roberto Cavalli: Cavalli's can run anywhere from true to size to a full size small. Usually the higher the incline the smaller they run, but they can vary from style to style. Most times it would be recommended to purchase one half size larger than your usual US size.

Valentino: True to size, sometimes half size up.

Versace:  Tends to run true to size.

Vicini:  Vicini and Zanotti are the same company. They are marketed as Zanotti in the US and Vicini in Europe. The sizing is the same as Zanotti.

Viktor & Rolf: Tends to run true to size.

Vivienne Westwood: Tends to run true to size.

They are just the suggestions given by most of people, which can act as a guide for you if you have completely no idea how the desginer shoes size runs. However, our feet may vary due to the width. In this case we have to do more researches, like the true measurement of the shoes and our feet. After all, no one wants to spend a bunch of money for shoes we cannot even fit in. The safest would be to try them on in real stores, so you can know the fitness and the comfort level.

We wish you all good luck getting your suitable shoes!
